About This Book

About This Book

Welcome to Stevens’ Funeral Home—where the flowers are fresh, the coffins are polished, and the drama is very much alive.

Adam Stevens never planned to return to his sleepy hometown, let alone run the family funeral business. But between eccentric clients, nosy neighbors, and a stray dog that’s claimed the funeral home as its own, the dearly departed are quickly becoming the least of his worries.

With a sarcastic best friend, a matchmaking father, and a stunning new hire who sees right through his defenses, Adam is about to discover that life after loss can be unexpectedly full of second chances—if he can stop tripping over his own baggage long enough to take one.

As old wounds resurface and buried secrets come to light, Adam must decide: will he keep avoiding pain, or take a chance on healing—and maybe even love? Because sometimes, the hardest goodbyes make room for the most meaningful hellos.

Heartfelt, hilarious, and unexpectedly healing, Matchmaker Undertaker is a story about grief, recovery, and the absurd beauty of loving people—even when they drive you absolutely crazy.

Perfect for readers who love:

Charming small-town romantic comedies

Laugh-out-loud humor mixed with deep emotion

Compelling second-chance romance

Lively workplace dynamics & unique premises

Stories of healing, growth, and resilience

Adorably chaotic animal companions

  • “Matchmaking and mayhem results in hilarity and a sweet tale of romance, nosey family, and mortuary mischief. There's a lot of going on, but in the best sort of way. A cute assistant and a mortuary matchmaking dad create a comical, classical situation with the son of the mortician and his assistant finding love and friendship in a very Dead Like Me sort of way. Clean and cute romance!"

  • “I read a lot! And this book surprised me! I truly enjoyed the story. I smiled, laughed throughout the whole book. I liked that the setting, in a funeral home, was so different than anything that I've read lately. The two main characters, Adam & Amber, were so much fun to get to know. I do wished there was just a little bit more story with some of the supporting cast but over all I really did enjoy the book. I am onto read the next two books in the series. A definite good read."

  • “I truly enjoyed reading this book! From the start it had funny plot twists and endearing but not cloying characters. It follows a man named Adam who is helping out in his father’s funeral home business. The story moves quickly and showcases a cast of characters that make me think of Star’s Hollow in Gilmore Girls. I read it in one day and found myself wishing the story was longer!"
